AI assistant
Ask for a diagram in plain words ("plenary with 3 cameras, an ATEM and 2 projectors"), attach the technical rider as a PDF or photo, or tell it what to change in the current one. It finds the real devices in the catalog, lays them out following the signal so cables don't cross, and everything can be undone with Ctrl+Z. You can also chat with it and ask for advice before building anything. Works with your ChatGPT, Claude or OpenRouter key, and conversations are saved per project.
Rooms: several pages in one diagram
Split an event into rooms (plenary, breakout A, breakout B…) from the bar at the bottom of the canvas. Each room has its own devices and layers still work inside each one. Double-click to give them any name.
Virtual DHCP server
Give a layer or a room an IP range, mask, gateway and DNS, like a router VLAN: every device that joins gets the next free IP. Copies get their own IP instead of repeating it, and IPs typed by hand are never touched.
Right-click menu
Select several devices and right-click: move them to a layer or room, assign IPs from a DHCP (numbered top to bottom, left to right), create a range just for them or remove their IPs.
Smaller device cards
Each device can hide unused ports, cable lengths, port resolution and the device each cable goes to. Do it from its window (double-click) or for all devices at once from the menu.
The mouse works like in drawing apps
Left-drag: multiple selection, no Shift needed. Right-drag: pan the canvas. Wheel: zoom. And the arrow keys move the selection (with Shift, bigger steps).
Help with shortcuts and gestures
A help button in the top bar explains with pictures the mouse, keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+D, Ctrl+Z…), rooms, layers and DHCP.
PDF by rooms and layers
Each room comes out whole and, if it has several layers, then layer by layer. The title block says which room and layer each sheet is, and the device and IP lists are grouped by room and layer.
You can see the export progress
While the PDF is generated, a hard-working printer shows up with a progress bar telling you which sheet it is on, plus a few lines to make the wait shorter.
Devices from other layers are locked
When you hide a layer, its devices connected to the one you see stay visible with a dashed border and locked, so you don't mess up what you are not looking at.
Add devices faster
Ctrl+1 opens the add-device window and Enter adds it without reaching for the button. Your devices appear in the list on the left panel: drag one onto the canvas to place another one just like it.
The whole app in English
When you choose English, everything is translated: menus, windows, the marketplace, categories, generic devices, error messages and address autocomplete.

Moving several devices at once
When dropping a selection of several devices, the ones not under the mouse jumped back. Now they stay where you leave them.
PDF counts in the title block
The number of devices and connections no longer lands on top of the drawing: it has a fixed place in the title block.
Links look good when shared
When you share avdiagram.com on WhatsApp or social media, the real logo and text in your language show up.

Easier to manage your devices and posts
Saving a device to "my devices" or publishing it to the community is done with buttons that show its status, and you can delete your own items from anywhere they appear.

Real-time collaboration
You see other people's cursors, and how they drag cards and pull cables as they do it, each person in their own color. Changes arrive instantly.
Who's in the diagram
At the top you can see who owns it, who has access and who is in it right now.
Shared projects and invitations
The dashboard separates "my projects" from "shared with me", with the owner and how many people have access. Invitations can be accepted or declined, you can leave a shared project and edit the details of your own.
Layers and network data
Organize the drawing in layers (video, audio, network…) and choose which ones you see. Each device can have IP, mask, gateway and DNS, and the PDF comes with one sheet per layer and an IP address list.
Clearer plans
A plan comparison table explained in plain language: how many people can edit, what happens with guests who bring their own plan and what each plan includes.

Remove the background from a device photo
With one button, the device photo loses its background and looks much better on the card. All photos now show at a consistent size.
More control over cables
Highlight a cable with a click, bundle the cables between two devices whenever you want, and use snapping to place cards aligned.
Lighting and adapters
New lighting ports (3 and 5-pin DMX, Art-Net) and real adapters in the catalog.
Invite people who don't have an account yet
Invite anyone by email: they receive the invitation and get in when they create their account.

Cable lengths and signature on the PDF
Lengths show on each cable label and in the cabling summary. The title block separates company, technician and role, and exports carry their version number.

Line routing
Choose how each cable runs (orthogonal, straight or with free points), with jumps where it crosses others. When you pull a cable, the app asks for its length.
Version history
Each diagram saves its versions when you edit and export, and you can go back to any of them.
No impossible connections
The app won't let you connect incompatible ports, and tells you so with a bit of humour.
Cleaner, lighter PDF
White background, legend only for the cables used, your logo in the title block and a much lighter file.
Invitations by link and email
Share a diagram with a link you can revoke at any time, or invite people by email.
Designed for mobile too
The website, dashboard and editor bar adapt to phones.
