XT² fiber extenders in the catalog
The whole XT² range, with data sheets and photos from the manufacturer: the HDMI models (HXT², HGXT² with Gigabit, dual HHXT², bidirectional BHXT² and HUXT² with USB for KVM) and the 12G-SDI ones (USXT², USGXT² with Gigabit, dual USSXT² and bidirectional BUSXT²). Transmitter and receiver are separate, and each fiber port says whether it is multimode (MM) or single-mode (SM). Search for "XT2", no superscript needed.

Cable window on right-click
Clicking a cable to move it no longer opens its window on top: the click just selects it and brings it to the front, with its handles. The window (arrows, jumps, routing and lengths) opens with a right-click on the cable. On phones and tablets it still opens with a tap.
Cables route around devices
When an automatic cable runs under a device, because you placed it later or moved it on top, it now routes around it on its own. Cables that were already fine stay the same, and the ones you adjusted by hand stay as you left them: double-click to make them automatic again and they will route around whatever is in the way. And a selected cable is drawn in front of the cards, so you can grab a segment that was hidden underneath.
SFP ports in control and sync
The control column of the port editor now has the whole SFP family: SFP, SFP+, SFP28, SFP56, SFP112, SFP-DD, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56, QSFP112, QSFP-DD and OSFP, each with its own color. They connect to each other and to the catalog's fiber ports, just like in real life with the right module or cable. They are also in your own catalog, and the AI knows them.
Choose what people joining with your link will be
In the invite window, the share link has its own option: "Can only view" (the default) or "Can edit". Before, it followed the email selector and the link gave edit access without you noticing. You can also change the role of people already in from the member list.

Layers and drawing visible on mobile
On phones, the side panel opened on entry and covered almost the whole screen: the drawing was hidden and the top bar lost the layers button. The editor now starts with the drawing full screen, the layers button is always there, and the panel (☰) opens on top and closes when you tap outside.
Windows look right on mobile
Invite collaborators, add device (search, steps and ports), insert template and share a device with the community had fields in a row that did not fit on a phone. They now stack, and every window makes better use of the screen width.
The subnet mask fills itself in
Like Windows: when you type an IP in a device window, or the first IP of a DHCP range, an empty mask is filled with the one for its class (10.x → 255.0.0.0, 172.16.x and 169.254.x → 255.255.0.0, 192.168.x → 255.255.255.0). You can see it and change it; an existing mask is left alone.
DHCP only sets what you type
When assigning IPs from a DHCP (layer, room or right-click), the device takes exactly that DHCP network: if you leave the gateway or DNS blank, the device has none, instead of keeping whatever it had before. The DHCP window starts empty, mask included.

One cable per port
A connector takes a single cable, and now the diagram respects that too: a port that already has a cable is not offered as a target, and if you try it tells you which one is in use. This also applies to what the AI adds.
Single-key shortcuts for devices and cables
P hides or shows free ports, L cable labels, M opens the lengths, F changes the arrow (to destination, to source, both ways or none) and T the line type (right angles, free points, straight or curved). They work on the selection; P and L, with nothing selected, on the whole room. The shortcuts help now has tabs: mouse, keyboard and rooms, layers and network.
Copying a fixture no longer repeats its DMX address
When you copy, paste or duplicate a fixture with a DMX address, the copy goes to the next free address in its universe (or the next universe if it does not fit), just as copies already got their own IP. Before, it kept the original address and they overlapped.
PDF lists without overlapping text
In the equipment, network address and DMX patch sheets, a long name or an overlap warning wrapped onto two lines and ran over the next row. Rows now grow as needed, and the overlap warning says which fixture it clashes with and how many more.
Export with a dark background
When exporting you can choose a light or dark background. Light is still the default, for printing; dark has the look of the app and works better for sending by email and viewing on screen. It applies to the PDF, the PNG and email delivery.
Choose what goes in the document
In the export window you tick what to include: the cable schedule and cables by length in the title block, and the equipment list, network addresses and DMX patch sheets. To send it to a client, untick them all and they get just the drawing.

The marketplace loads more as you scroll
With 2,300+ devices, the add-device window no longer cuts off: reaching the bottom loads the next ones and shows how many there are in total with your filters.
The full Luminex range
GigaCore switches (10i, 10t, 10t-IP, 16i, 16t, 16tf, 18t, 20t, O26-I, S30-I and the most common older ones), LumiNode nodes, LumiCore and LumiSplit splitters, with ports from the official spec sheet and a photo.
The catalog, in English too
The descriptions of the 2,300+ devices in the catalog now show in the app language.
DMX patch for lighting fixtures
Every lighting fixture now has its DMX universe, address and mode, and the channel count fills in automatically when you pick the mode. The card shows what it takes (U1 · 001–039) and warns if it overlaps another fixture. With several selected, right-click → DMX patch addresses them one after another. And the PDF includes a patch sheet per universe, with overlaps in red.
475 lighting fixtures with their official DMX modes, and grandMA consoles
Robe, Chauvet Professional, Martin, Ayrton and Anolis imported from their official GDTF files, with all their DMX modes and channel counts. Plus the full MA Lighting family: grandMA3, grandMA2, dot2, processing units, wings and nodes.
Duplicating a project copies everything
Duplicating a project used to lose device photos, layers, rooms and network data. The copy is now complete.
241 new devices in the catalog, lighting included
New lighting category: consoles (grandMA3, ChamSys, Avolites, ETC, Obsidian), Art-Net/sACN nodes, DMX splitters, installation controllers (Pharos, ETC Mosaic, Madrix, Enttec) and fixtures from Robe, Martin, Claypaky, Chauvet, Ayrton, GLP, Elation, Astera and ETC. Plus Yamaha fixed installation (MTX, MRX, XMV, DME7, ADECIA…), QSC Q-SYS, Biamp, Crestron NVX, Netgear AV and Luminex switches, Dante AVIO and RedNet, Powersoft, Crown and Lab.gruppen amplifiers, and Canon, PTZOptics, BirdDog, AVer and Marshall PTZ cameras. All with ports taken from the official spec sheet and a photo.
Network outputs to the LED wall
Ethernet outputs on LED processors (Novastar, Brompton, Colorlight…) now show up as signal outputs instead of in the control section, and the port editor lets you add Ethernet as an input or output. The Novastar H series (H2, H5, H9, H15, H20) now comes with an example configuration including input cards and LED outputs.

AI assistant
Ask for a diagram in plain words ("plenary with 3 cameras, an ATEM and 2 projectors"), attach the technical rider as a PDF or photo, or tell it what to change in the current one. It finds the real devices in the catalog, lays them out following the signal so cables don't cross, and everything can be undone with Ctrl+Z. You can also chat with it and ask for advice before building anything. Works with your ChatGPT, Claude or OpenRouter key, and conversations are saved per project.
Rooms: several pages in one diagram
Split an event into rooms (plenary, breakout A, breakout B…) from the bar at the bottom of the canvas. Each room has its own devices and layers still work inside each one. Double-click to give them any name.
Virtual DHCP server
Give a layer or a room an IP range, mask, gateway and DNS, like a router VLAN: every device that joins gets the next free IP. Copies get their own IP instead of repeating it, and IPs typed by hand are never touched.
Right-click menu
Select several devices and right-click: move them to a layer or room, assign IPs from a DHCP (numbered top to bottom, left to right), create a range just for them or remove their IPs.
Smaller device cards
Each device can hide unused ports, cable lengths, port resolution and the device each cable goes to. Do it from its window (double-click) or for all devices at once from the menu.
The mouse works like in drawing apps
Left-drag: multiple selection, no Shift needed. Right-drag: pan the canvas. Wheel: zoom. And the arrow keys move the selection (with Shift, bigger steps).
Help with shortcuts and gestures
A help button in the top bar explains with pictures the mouse, keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+D, Ctrl+Z…), rooms, layers and DHCP.
PDF by rooms and layers
Each room comes out whole and, if it has several layers, then layer by layer. The title block says which room and layer each sheet is, and the device and IP lists are grouped by room and layer.
You can see the export progress
While the PDF is generated, a hard-working printer shows up with a progress bar telling you which sheet it is on, plus a few lines to make the wait shorter.
Devices from other layers are locked
When you hide a layer, its devices connected to the one you see stay visible with a dashed border and locked, so you don't mess up what you are not looking at.
Add devices faster
Ctrl+1 opens the add-device window and Enter adds it without reaching for the button. Your devices appear in the list on the left panel: drag one onto the canvas to place another one just like it.
The whole app in English
When you choose English, everything is translated: menus, windows, the marketplace, categories, generic devices, error messages and address autocomplete.

Moving several devices at once
When dropping a selection of several devices, the ones not under the mouse jumped back. Now they stay where you leave them.
PDF counts in the title block
The number of devices and connections no longer lands on top of the drawing: it has a fixed place in the title block.
Links look good when shared
When you share avdiagram.com on WhatsApp or social media, the real logo and text in your language show up.

Easier to manage your devices and posts
Saving a device to "my devices" or publishing it to the community is done with buttons that show its status, and you can delete your own items from anywhere they appear.
23 September 2026
Real-time collaboration
You see other people's cursors, and how they drag cards and pull cables as they do it, each person in their own color. Changes arrive instantly.
Who's in the diagram
At the top you can see who owns it, who has access and who is in it right now.
Shared projects and invitations
The dashboard separates "my projects" from "shared with me", with the owner and how many people have access. Invitations can be accepted or declined, you can leave a shared project and edit the details of your own.
Layers and network data
Organize the drawing in layers (video, audio, network…) and choose which ones you see. Each device can have IP, mask, gateway and DNS, and the PDF comes with one sheet per layer and an IP address list.
Clearer plans
A plan comparison table explained in plain language: how many people can edit, what happens with guests who bring their own plan and what each plan includes.
Contact page
Write to us from the website and get an instant acknowledgement.
22 September 2026
Remove the background from a device photo
With one button, the device photo loses its background and looks much better on the card. All photos now show at a consistent size.
More control over cables
Highlight a cable with a click, bundle the cables between two devices whenever you want, and use snapping to place cards aligned.
Lighting and adapters
New lighting ports (3 and 5-pin DMX, Art-Net) and real adapters in the catalog.
Invite people who don't have an account yet
Invite anyone by email: they receive the invitation and get in when they create their account.
21 September 2026
Cable lengths and signature on the PDF
Lengths show on each cable label and in the cabling summary. The title block separates company, technician and role, and exports carry their version number.
20 September 2026
Line routing
Choose how each cable runs (orthogonal, straight or with free points), with jumps where it crosses others. When you pull a cable, the app asks for its length.
Version history
Each diagram saves its versions when you edit and export, and you can go back to any of them.
No impossible connections
The app won't let you connect incompatible ports, and tells you so with a bit of humour.
Cleaner, lighter PDF
White background, legend only for the cables used, your logo in the title block and a much lighter file.
Invitations by link and email
Share a diagram with a link you can revoke at any time, or invite people by email.
Designed for mobile too
The website, dashboard and editor bar adapt to phones.
